Product details

The Pentair 474065 is the cupro nickel tube sheet coil assembly kit for the MasterTemp Model 400HDNA and 400HD-LP heaters. It is the genuine Pentair part and it ships with an o-ring kit.

What it replaces

The tube sheet and coil assembly is the heat exchanger core: the water side of the heater, where the burner heat crosses into the pool water. When it corrodes through, the heater leaks internally and no amount of work on the gas side will fix it.

Cupro nickel and fitment

This is the cupro nickel version. Pentair specifies it for heaters manufactured after 1/12/09, the new tub design, so check the manufacture date on the heater before ordering. It is a large, heavy assembly and moves by freight.

Go by the manufacture date. Pentair specifies this kit for units built after 1/12/09. Heaters built before that date use the earlier design.
