Why cupro nickel
Cupro nickel is a copper nickel alloy used where plain copper would not last. On commercial duty heaters and on pools with aggressive water chemistry, the alloy resists the corrosion that eats through standard tubing, which is why Pentair offers this version of the coil.
What it replaces
The tube sheet and coil are the heat transfer assembly at the center of the heater. When the coil leaks or corrodes, the heater loses efficiency and can start putting water into the cabinet. This kit brings the assembly back to factory condition rather than patching around it.
