The Jandy R0359300 is the replacement tie rod for the DEV 60 DE filter, supplied complete with its knob and lock nuts. It is the genuine Jandy part.

Check the fitment

Jandy lists this rod under the DEV 60. The same part number also turns up grouped with the DEL48 and DEL60 filters, so if you are working on a DEL series tank rather than a DEV, measure the rod you are taking out and compare before you order.

Why it gets replaced

A tie rod spends its life wet and under load. Threads corrode, nuts bind, and eventually a rod that will not turn has to be cut out to open the filter. Because the knob and lock nuts come with it, the whole assembly goes back together with fresh threads instead of a mix of new and seized hardware.

Why would a tie rod need replacing?
Threads corrode and nuts seize. Once a rod cannot be backed off cleanly it usually has to be cut, which means the whole assembly gets replaced.
