Polaris Genuine OEM Sweep Hose Scrubber for Polaris Pool Cleaner, 3 Pack, R0522400

These are the genuine Polaris sweep hose scrubbers, part R0522400, supplied three to a pack. The scrubber is the small tail piece that fits on the end of the sweep hose.

What it does

The sweep hose whips around behind the cleaner, kicking up settled dirt so it stays in suspension long enough to be collected. The scrubber on the end is what actually contacts the pool surface during that motion. It loosens debris and, just as importantly, it takes the abrasion so the hose does not.

Why it is a wear part

A scrubber drags across plaster or vinyl thousands of times a day, and it is designed to give up material rather than let the hose end fray. That means it wears short over a season. Once it is worn down or torn, the sweep hose starts wearing instead, which is a much more expensive part to replace.

Fitting

It slides onto the end of the sweep hose. No tools, and the cleaner does not have to come apart. Buying three at a time means the next two changes are already covered.
