Product details

This is the CMP replacement UV lamp kit, part number R0990800, for the DEL AOP 25 sanitizing system. It is the genuine CMP part from the DEL Advanced Sanitizer Solutions line.

What the lamp does

An AOP system does not rely on ozone by itself. It runs ozone and ultraviolet light together, and the reaction between them is what makes the process stronger than either one alone. CMP describes DEL AOP as dramatically more powerful than chlorine and other sanitizers, and more powerful than ozone on its own. All of that depends on the lamp still producing usable output.

When to change it

UV lamps fade with hours run well before they stop lighting, so the lamp is treated as a scheduled service item rather than a wait for failure part. CMP states that its residential AOP ozone and UV systems are classified by NSF as a supplemental sanitizer, which means the pool still carries a residual sanitizer alongside it.
