What full rated means here
Some motors reach their advertised horsepower only by counting the service factor. This one does not. The nameplate output is 3.0 Hp, or 2.2 kW, and the 1.15 service factor sits above that as headroom. Current draw is listed at 15.0 to 13.3 A across the voltage range.
Construction
Sealed ball bearings run at both the drive and opposite drive ends, and the switch is a sealed design, which matters on an equipment pad where dust and insects find their way into anything open. The shaft is 303 stainless with a 304 bearing shaft end, the frame is rolled steel, and the enclosure is drip proof. It is rated for a 50 C ambient and is thermally protected, so a hot pad in midsummer is within its design envelope.
