The Century B2842 is an energy efficient pool pump motor rated at a full 1.5 horsepower on 208/230 volt service. It is the genuine Century part.

Full rated, not uprated

Pool motors are sold in two ratings, and the difference matters. A full rated motor makes its stated horsepower with the service factor on top, so a full rated 1.5 HP is a physically larger motor than an uprated one carrying the same number on the label. Order the rating your pump was specified for, or the pump will move either less water or more than the plumbing was designed to carry.

Voltage

This motor is built for 208 or 230 volt service only. It has no 115 volt option, so check what is landing at the equipment pad before you order.

What you get

The motor on its own. Shaft seals, gaskets and pump hardware are separate, and most techs replace the shaft seal while the wet end is open rather than going back in later.

What does full rated mean?
A full rated motor produces its stated horsepower at its listed service factor, so a full rated 1.5 HP is a genuinely bigger motor than an uprated 1.5 HP. Match whichever rating your pump was built for.
Can I run this on 115 volts?
No. It is a 208/230 volt motor. Running it on 115 volt service is not an option, so confirm the voltage at your equipment pad before ordering.
Does it come with a seal kit?
No. This listing is the motor by itself. Shaft seals and gaskets are separate items and are worth replacing at the same time.
