Product details

The Waterway 711-2600 is the body gasket for the vinyl liner version of the fitting. It is the genuine Waterway part.

Where it seals

On a vinyl liner pool, the fitting has to seal against a sheet of vinyl rather than against concrete. The body gasket is what makes that joint watertight. When it hardens, flattens or splits, water finds its way past the fitting and behind the liner, and that is a problem that gets expensive well before anyone notices it at the surface.

While you are in there

The gasket is cheap and the labor of pulling a wall fitting is not, so it is worth changing whenever the fitting comes apart. Count what comes out as you strip it, since vinyl liner fittings often use a gasket on each side of the liner.
