Product details

The Hayward AXV092 is the hose connector for PoolVac Plus, PoolVac Ultra and Navigator automatic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it does

A cleaner hose is not one long tube. It is built from sections, and a connector joins each pair. Those joints do the work every time the cleaner turns or backs off a wall, which is why the connectors usually give out before the hose itself does.

When to replace it

A cleaner that will not follow its pattern, stalls in a corner or has lost its usual drive often has a hose problem rather than a cleaner problem. Lay the hose out of the pool and flex each joint. Any connector that is split, loose on the hose or visibly distorted should come out. Since they all age together, it is worth checking the whole run while it is out.
