The Hayward RCX11000 is the replacement impeller for the AquaVac TigerShark and SharkVac robotic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Hayward part.
What the impeller does
Everything the cleaner picks up passes through the impeller. It spins inside the pump housing and pulls water, leaves and grit up off the floor and into the filter cartridge or bag. Because it handles debris rather than clean water, the vanes take a beating: sand rounds them off, hair wraps the hub, and small stones chip the edges.
The symptom
Wear happens slowly, so the usual complaint is that the cleaner still drives its pattern and still climbs, but leaves a film of fine dirt behind. Owners tend to clean the filter, check the brushes, then finally pull the pump housing and find a rounded off impeller.
While you are in there
The impeller screw is a separate Hayward part. It is small and often damaged during removal, so it is worth having a new one on hand before you start.
