Product details

The Hayward RCX31012A is the switch membrane cover for the robotic cleaner power supply. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it is

The membrane is the sealed panel you press to operate the power supply. It carries the printed markings and it transfers each press to the switch underneath while keeping water off the contacts. It sits outdoors, gets pressed with wet hands and is flexed every cycle, which is why it wears out well ahead of the electronics behind it.

When to replace it

A membrane that has split, lifted at the edge or gone hard will feel dead or need a very firm push. That is the point to change it, because once the seal is broken moisture starts working into the switch itself and the repair stops being a cheap one.

What does this listing include?

My buttons do not respond, is this the fix?
Often. A membrane that has torn, lifted or gone stiff stops transferring the press to the switch underneath, and it fails long before the electronics do. If the unit shows no power at all, the problem is elsewhere.
