Hayward AXV014P is the concrete pool version of the pod shoe, supplied four to a pack. It fits the Pool Vac and Navigator ranges as well as the AquaBug, Diver Dave and Wanda Whale cleaners.
What the shoes do
The pods are what the cleaner actually stands on. They carry its weight, hold the seal against the floor and let it inch its way around the pool. Because they are in constant contact with the surface, they are the fastest wearing part on the machine, and a set that has gone thin changes how the whole cleaner behaves.
Concrete versus vinyl
Hayward makes the shoe in more than one compound. This is the concrete and gunite specification. Fitting the wrong version is a common reason a freshly serviced cleaner still refuses to climb or track properly, so check which surface your cleaner was built for before ordering.
