Product details

Hayward AXV055P is the turbine bearing used across a long list of Hayward suction side cleaners, supplied two to a pack. Two is what a single turbine takes, so one pack does one cleaner.

What the bearings do

Water drawn through the cleaner spins a turbine, and the turbine drives everything else. The bearings are what the turbine shaft rides on. As they wear, the turbine develops play, drags, and loses speed, and the whole cleaner slows down with it. Owners often chase the hose or the pump when the bearings are the cheap part that has actually failed.

Fitment

Hayward lists this bearing for the Pool Vac Plus, Pool Vac Ultra and Pool Vac XL, the Navigator and Navigator Pro, the AquaBug, Diver Dave and Wanda the Whale, and the Arneson Aquadroid and Aquadroid Elite. Change both bearings at the same time; replacing only the worse of the pair puts the new one straight back into a worn assembly.
