The Pentair 472447 is the ignition module for the MiniMax NT DDTC pool heater. It is the genuine Pentair replacement, supplied as the module alone.
What the module does
When the heater gets a call for heat, the ignition module runs the light off sequence and confirms the burner has actually lit before it lets the heater keep running. It is a safety component as much as a control component, which is why a heater with a failed module simply will not fire, no matter how good the gas supply is.
Before you order
This is the DDTC module, so check that your MiniMax NT is the DDTC version rather than an earlier control. A no ignition fault can also come from the igniter, the gas valve or the pressure switch, so it is worth ruling those out before the module goes in.
