The Hayward SharkVAC XL is a robotic cleaner for in ground pools up to 20 ft by 40 ft, supplied here with the caddy cart. It cleans the floor and the walls on a three hour cycle and works on all pool surfaces.
How it works
A robotic cleaner runs on its own power rather than off the pool pump, which is why Hayward can quote up to 94 percent less energy than traditional cleaners. Debris goes into two fine porosity filter elements inside the unit instead of through your filter, and those elements are reached from the top, so emptying it does not mean turning the cleaner over.
Sensors
Two sensors keep it out of trouble. The out of water sensor prevents the motor running while the unit is out of the pool, and the beach entry sensor detects the cleaner climbing out on a sloped entry and reverses it back into the water.
The caddy
The caddy cart is included. It gives the cleaner and its 60 ft cord somewhere to sit between runs, which keeps the cord from kinking and makes moving the unit to the pool edge a one hand job.
