Product details

The SuperPro SP0121109020 is a 2 inch split nut supplied with its screws, sold as a pool pump union repair part.

The problem it solves

A union nut at the pump is a single piece that slid on over the pipe when the system was plumbed. When it cracks, strips or gets cross threaded, replacing it normally means cutting the pipe to get the old nut off and a new one on. That is a glue joint, a cure time and a shorter pipe stub to work with next time.

How a split nut fixes it

This nut comes apart in two halves that go around the fitting and are drawn together by the supplied screws. Nothing has to slide over the pipe end, so the failed nut can be replaced with the plumbing left as it is. Match the size, which for this part is 2 inch, since the 1-1/2 inch versions are separate parts.

What size is it?
2 inch. Split nuts are size specific, and the 1-1/2 inch versions are separate parts.
Do the screws come with it?
