Product details

This is a strainer basket compatible with the Hayward® Super II™ pool pump, SuperPro part B-207. It is compatible with the Hayward® SPX3000M and fits the Super II™ pumps listed as SP3000 and SP3000X.

What the basket does

Every bit of water that reaches the impeller passes through this basket first. It catches leaves, twigs, hair and stones before they can reach the volute. A basket that has split at the rim or lost mesh looks fine sitting in the pot but is no longer filtering anything, and the debris it should have caught ends up wedged in the impeller.

Made by another manufacturer

This basket is made by a manufacturer other than Hayward®, so the color may not match the one you take out. It fits the Super II™ strainer pot and does the job of the basket you take out. If you want the factory basket, that is a separate Hayward® item.

Is this a genuine Hayward® basket?
No. It is a basket made by another manufacturer to fit the Hayward® Super II™. The factory basket is a separate item, and the color on this one may differ.
Which Hayward® part number is it compatible with?
It is compatible with SPX3000M, the Super II™ strainer basket.
Does the color matter?
Only cosmetically. The basket sits inside the strainer pot under the lid and never affects how the pump runs.
How do I know my basket needs replacing?
If it is cracked, split at the rim, or the mesh has holes, debris is getting past it to the impeller. Replace it rather than run the pump with a broken basket.
