The Hayward SPX3100D is the clear thread in strainer lid for the Super II pump. It is the genuine Hayward replacement, and Hayward also lists it for the Heldor EZ-Flo, the C250CF and C500CF chlorine feeders, and Leslie's Hydramax II pumps in the SP-LE40010 through 40019 range.
Confirm the style first
Hayward has used several lid designs across its pumps. This one threads into the pot. If the lid on your pump is held by a hand knob or a clamping ring, it is a different part, and the two do not swap.
Why lids get replaced
A clear lid lets you look at the basket and the water in the pot without shutting anything down, which is worth having. The trade is that it takes UV, heat and chemistry all season, so it clouds and eventually goes brittle. That is not just cosmetic. A brittle lid can split under load, and the pump loses prime immediately.
Do the o-ring at the same time
The lid seals against a trap cover o-ring, which is a separate part. If the pot has been sucking air or dripping, the o-ring is the first suspect and it makes sense to change both while the pump is open.
