Product details
The Hayward W400BWHP is the vacuum lock safety wall fitting, in white. It sits in the wall suction port and gives the cleaner hose something to lock onto, so a suction side cleaner can draw water through the suction supply line.
Why it fails
The vac lock takes the strain every time a hose is fitted, pulled and removed, and it lives underwater in treated water year round. Over time the plastic goes brittle, the locking feature wears, or the body cracks. The usual symptom is a hose that will not stay connected, or a cleaner that runs weakly because the connection at the wall is leaking air rather than pulling water.
What you get
This is the genuine Hayward kit for that swap, in molded plastic and finished in white to match standard white wall fittings. The vacuum hose itself is a separate item.
