Product details

The Hayward SP1425S is an adjustable floor inlet fitting in white. It sits on the return side of the circulation loop, where filtered water comes back into the pool, and it can be aimed rather than fixed.

Why aim a return

Where the return water points decides how the pool turns over. Direct it well and the whole body of water moves, so chemicals spread evenly and debris drifts toward the skimmer. Direct it badly and you get dead corners that stay cloudy no matter how long the pump runs. An adjustable fitting lets you set that instead of living with it.

Check the connection before you order

The 2 inch male pipe thread end is consistent across our sources. The 1-1/2 inch end is not: one listing describes it as a slip socket and the other as a female thread. Those are different connections, so rather than guess we have recorded both. Look at what your plumbing presents before you buy.

Is the 1-1/2 inch end slip or threaded?
Our two sources disagree. One calls it a 1-1/2 inch SKT slip socket and the other a 1-1/2 inch FIP female thread. We have carried both readings rather than pick one, so check the pipe end you are connecting to before ordering.
