The Hayward HCXSCELL6 is the genuine replacement cell for the Hayward Saline C 6.0 salt chlorination system, supplied together with its cover.

Why the cell is replaced

An electrolytic cell wears as it runs. The plates slowly lose their coating, and output falls until the system can no longer hold a chlorine residual even at full setting with the salt level, stabilizer and water balance correct. Once cleaning scale from the plates no longer restores output, a new cell is the only fix.
