Product details

The Hayward HCXSCELL6 is the genuine replacement cell for the Hayward Saline C 6.0 salt chlorination system, supplied together with its cover.

Why the cell is replaced

An electrolytic cell wears as it runs. The plates slowly lose their coating, and output falls until the system can no longer hold a chlorine residual even at full setting with the salt level, stabilizer and water balance correct. Once cleaning scale from the plates no longer restores output, a new cell is the only fix.

What is in the box

The cell and its cover. Match HCXSCELL6 to the part number on your existing cell before ordering.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which system does this cell fit?
The Hayward Saline C 6.0 salt chlorination system. Confirm the model on your control unit before ordering.
Is the cover included?
Yes. The listing is the cell together with its cover, so both parts are replaced at once.
How do I know my cell needs replacing?
When the system cannot hold a chlorine residual at full output with correct salt, stabilizer and water balance, and the cell has been cleaned of scale, the plates have usually reached the end of their life.
Is this an OEM Hayward part?
Yes. HCXSCELL6 is the genuine Hayward replacement cell, not an aftermarket compatible unit.
