Pentair C Series Pump Impeller, 1PH or 3PH Medium Head, 7.5HP

The Pentair 070227 is the 7-1/2 HP medium head impeller for the C Series commercial pumps sold under both the Pentair and Purex names. It fits the single phase CM-75 and the three phase CMK-75 and CMKL-75 bronze pumps.

Construction

Cast bronze, closed face, with eight vanes. This is the CMK medium head configuration; C Series pumps were built in more than one head, so confirm yours before ordering.

Dimensions for matching

Outside diameter across the vanes is 5-1/8 in. Thickness at the outside edge is 1-1/16 in. measured inside and 1-3/8 in. measured outside. Front to back is 2-3/4 in., not counting the 1-5/8 in. diameter by 3/8 in. long extension on the front face. The vaneless section measures 4-17/32 in. outside and 4-5/32 in. inside.

The impeller is what carries the motor's energy into the water. A worn or damaged one shows up as falling flow and rising motor load well before anything else on the pump complains, so on a commercial pump it pays to replace it as soon as the vanes show wear.
