Product details

The Aladdin O-155-9 is a replacement o-ring listed for Jacuzzi Earthworks DE filters in the current style, covering models EW36, EW48, EW60 and EW72.

Why o-rings get replaced

An o-ring spends its life squeezed into a groove. Over a season or two it takes the shape of that groove, hardens and loses the springiness that makes it seal. Once it stops recovering, the joint weeps under pump pressure, and no amount of extra tightening fixes it.

Getting a good seal

Clean the groove and the mating surface before fitting. Old DE, sand or a fragment of the previous o-ring will hold the new seal open. A thin film of silicone based o-ring lubricant helps it seat evenly and stops it sticking at the next teardown. Keep petroleum based grease away from it.
