Hayward DEX3620EA is the outlet elbow for the DE3620 Pro-Grid DE filter, supplied with its o-ring. It is the genuine Hayward part.
Where it sits
The outlet elbow is on the clean side of the filter, the fitting that takes filtered water back out of the tank and on toward the returns. It is a plumbed joint under pressure every time the pump runs, which is what eventually finds any weakness in it.
What usually goes wrong
Two things fail here and they look the same from the outside: the elbow body cracks, or the o-ring flattens and stops sealing. A drip at the outlet of the tank is the symptom of both. Because Hayward ships the elbow with a new o-ring, replacing the assembly settles either cause in one go rather than leaving you to guess and come back to it.
