The Pentair 196024S is the genuine diverter assembly retro kit for the Quad D.E. pool filter. It replaces the diverter assembly inside the filter, so a tank that is otherwise sound does not have to be replaced.

What it is for

The diverter assembly sits inside the filter and directs water where it needs to go. When it cracks, distorts or no longer seats properly, filtration and backwash behavior suffer. Pentair sells the replacement as a kit, which is why it is described as a retro kit: it brings an installed Quad D.E. filter up to the current assembly.
