What the bag does

A separation tank exists to catch the solids that come off a filter during a backwash or a cleaning cycle so they do not go down the drain. The bag inside the tank is the part that actually does that work. The housing simply holds it. When the bag is loaded, thinned or torn, the tank stops separating anything and the material carries straight through.
