Product details

This is the genuine Hayward AX6000HCA, the cleaner end section of the pressure hose assembly for the Phantom automatic pool cleaner. It is supplied in white and does not include the sweep hose.

What it is

A pressure cleaner is fed by a hose run from the wall fitting to the cleaner. That run is made up of sections, and this is the one that lands at the cleaner itself. Hayward lists it with the Phantom and Phantom Turbo cleaner parts.

Why a hose section fails

Hose lives in sunlight and chlorinated water, gets dragged across the floor, and takes the twisting load every time the cleaner turns. Over time a section goes stiff, kinks or splits, and any water that escapes there never reaches the cleaner. The usual symptoms are a cleaner that has gotten sluggish, wanders off its pattern or stops climbing, plus a telltale plume of water at the surface. Replacing the failed section restores the pressure the cleaner was designed around.
