The Hayward AX5000RSHA is the white sweep hose used on Phantom, Viio and Viper automatic pool cleaners, supplied complete with its rollers and clamp. It is the factory replacement rather than a generic length of hose.
What the sweep hose does
While the cleaner drives its pattern, the sweep hose whips behind it across the floor and up the walls, lifting settled dirt into the water where the cleaner and the filter can catch it. That is why a pool can look clean along the cleaner track and still hold debris in the corners once the hose stops working.
When to replace it
