The Waterway WVS003 is the seven position, 1-1/2 in. top mount multiport valve for Waterway sand filters built in 2002 and after. It is the backwash valve on the TWM, Clearwater, Carefree and Baquapure filters, and on the same filter sold under other names: Rec Warehouse 4742-010, Baquapure 111960, Premium Blue, Cyclone, Sparko, Eco Kleer, Aquastar Blue Star and Aqua Coastal.

Check the year

Waterway changed the valve in 2002. This one fits 2002 and later filters; a filter from 2001 or earlier takes a different valve kit. If you are not sure, look for the date on the tank before ordering.

Removal tool

The valve collar is meant to come off with the Waterway 505-1970 removal wrench, which is not included. Have it on hand before you start the swap.
