Product details
Pentair 262525 is a complete top mounted multiport valve for sand filters, supplied with unions. It gives the filter its six position control: the one handle that sends water through the sand, back out to waste, around the filter, or shuts the tank off entirely.
Built for backwash duty
The body is molded ABS with a heavy duty diverter inside, in the clamp style backwash pattern. The handle is a single large one piece casting with positive lock at each position, which is what stops a valve drifting off a setting under pressure. There is also a separate winterizing position for closing the pool down at the end of the season.
Before you order
Pentair fits this valve to the TA60, SD80 and CFII26. The ports are 2 inch female pipe thread and the neck is 6 inches, so check both against your tank rather than going by filter size alone. Because the unions come with it, the valve can be plumbed in and later removed for service without cutting into the pipework.
