The Waterway 400-1417DB is a gray eyeball return fitting with a 3/4 inch opening on a 1-1/2 inch male threaded body. It threads into the wall return and directs the water coming back from the equipment pad.
What the sizes do
The 1-1/2 inch MPT is simply how the fitting mounts.
