Product details

The Hayward SP1419DGR is a gray Hydrostream fitting with a 1-1/2 inch MIP thread and a 3/4 inch opening. It threads into the pool wall return and aims the water coming back from the filter.

What a Hydrostream does

Water leaving the filter has to go somewhere. A plain open return lets it drift out of the wall, which does little for circulation. A Hydrostream narrows the outlet and points the flow, so the same pump pressure produces a faster, directed stream. Aimed correctly, that stream sweeps the surface and pushes floating debris toward the skimmer.

Fitting and finish

The body threads into a standard 1-1/2 inch female wall return, and the outlet on this version is 3/4 inch. The gray finish suits gray trim. Hayward matches its directional flow inlet and vac lock safety wall fittings to its concrete, vinyl and fiberglass inlet fittings, so it drops into a Hayward plumbed wall without adapting.
