Product details

The Hayward SP1419CBLK is a HydroStream return fitting with a 1/2 inch opening, finished in black. It threads into the pool wall return and points the water coming back from the filter where you want it.

Why the opening size matters

HydroStream fittings come in several opening sizes and the size sets the speed of the water leaving the return. This is the narrowest of them, so the same flow leaves faster and travels further into the pool. That is useful when one end of the pool never seems to move, or when leaves settle in the same corner every time.

Choosing one

Aim returns down and away from the skimmer so the surface sweeps toward it. Fitting one narrow HydroStream and leaving the rest wider is a common way to lift circulation in a problem area without straining the pump.
