The Hayward FDXLPBL1930 is the factory base leg set for the Universal H-Series low NOx pool and spa heater. It ships as a set of four legs, which is how the heater was built and how it should be put back together.
What the legs do
The legs hold the heater cabinet at its designed height above the pad. That gap matters: it keeps the bottom of the heater clear of the water that collects around equipment pads, and it keeps the cabinet level so the internal components sit as they were assembled. Legs that have rusted through or bent leave the heater sitting low and out of square.
