The SuperPro O-86-9 is a generic Redline tank o-ring for 18 inch Pentair PacFab Nautilus DE filter tanks. It measures 18-5/16 inch on the inside diameter with a 9/16 inch cross section, and it is listed as a substitute for part number 071442.

What it seals

A split tank filter is two halves clamped together, and the tank o-ring is the only thing holding pressure at that joint. Over a few seasons the ring takes a set, flattens into the groove and stops springing back. Once that happens the filter weeps or sprays at the band clamp every time the pump starts.

This is a generic replacement rather than the factory branded part. It carries the same dimensions, so measure the old ring, 18-5/16 inch inside and 9/16 inch thick, and confirm you have the 18 inch tank. Lubricate the new ring before you close the tank so it seats evenly in the groove.
