The Hayward SPX1084PDGR is the round extension collar with a brass insert, molded in dark gray. It is listed for the SP1082, SP1083, SP1084, SP1085 and SP1086 automatic skimmers.

What the collar does

The extension collar sits between the skimmer body and the deck, bringing the throat up to the finished surface and carrying the cover. It is the part that takes foot traffic, so it is the part that cracks. A broken collar leaves the lid sitting proud or rocking, which is both an eyesore and a trip hazard.

Brass insert
