Product details

The Pentair 35402-0074Z is a 1/4"-20 wing nut used on Sta-Rite DE filters. It is the genuine Pentair replacement for the hand fastener that gets removed and refitted every time the filter comes apart.

Why it wears out

A wing nut at the equipment pad lives in a wet, chemically aggressive spot and gets handled with wet hands at every service. Over a few seasons it corrodes onto its rod, and the wings round off when someone reaches for pliers. At that point the nut has to be cut or forced off and replaced, which is the situation this part exists for.
