The Jandy R3001000 is the adjustable water pressure switch used on Jandy heat pumps. It is the genuine Jandy part.
What it does
A heat pump must never fire without water moving through it. The pressure switch is the device that proves that flow: it senses water pressure in the unit and closes a circuit that tells the control it is safe to start. Everything downstream of that, from the compressor to the heat exchanger, depends on the switch being honest.
Adjustable trip point
This version is adjustable, so the pressure at which it makes and breaks can be set rather than left at a factory fixed value. That is useful where pipe runs, pump sizing or elevation give a pressure at the unit that a fixed switch reads badly.
