This is the Hayward HPX95005-310188, the LCD controller for the HP50A pool heat pump. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it is

The LCD controller is the interface on the heat pump: the display that shows water temperature and status, and the buttons that set it. When the screen goes blank, dim or unresponsive, or the buttons stop registering, the unit can be running perfectly well and still be unusable.

Before you order

This is the controller alone. Check that the heat pump has power and that the harness to the controller is intact, so you are replacing the part that actually failed.
