Product details

The Pentair 473783Z is the replacement fan blade for UltraTemp pool and spa heat pumps built for 60 Hz power. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What the fan does

A heat pump does not burn fuel. It draws heat out of the outside air and moves it into the pool water, and to do that it has to pull a large volume of air across the evaporator coil. The fan blade is what moves that air. A blade that is cracked, chipped or bent moves less air and runs out of balance, so the cabinet vibrates, the unit gets noisy and heating slows down.

This is the blade only; the fan motor is a separate part. Check the frequency of your unit, since this blade is listed for the 60 Hz UltraTemp, and compare the number stamped on the old blade because this part appears both as 473783Z and as 473783.
