Why the fan matters

A pool heat pump gathers heat from the air. The fan is what pulls that air across the evaporator coil, and without steady airflow the unit has nothing to take heat from. The failure is easy to misread: the compressor still runs, the display looks normal, and the only symptom is that the pool warms slowly or not at all. A motor that has seized, gone noisy, or slowed down produces exactly that picture.
