The Pentair 473656 is the low pressure switch for the ThermalFlo Titanium pool heat pump. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

A heat pump watches refrigerant pressure and shuts itself down if the low side falls outside its safe range. That is the switch doing its job, and it protects the compressor, which is by far the most expensive component in the machine. A switch that has aged can trip early or stick, so the unit locks out on a low pressure fault when the charge is actually fine.

Who should fit it

This is a part on the refrigerant side of the system. Diagnosis and replacement belong to a licensed technician who can confirm the switch is the fault rather than a symptom, and who is equipped to handle refrigerant properly.
