The Pentair 473786 is the genuine 24 inch fan guard for UltraTemp pool and spa heat pumps.
What it does
The guard sits over the fan opening in the top panel. It is the barrier that keeps hands out of a large fan turning at speed, and it also stops leaves, branches and anything else falling from above from reaching the blade.
When to replace it
Guards get stepped on, hit by falling limbs, and corroded by years of weather. If yours is bent into the blade path, badly rusted, or missing sections, replace it rather than working around it. A guard fouling the fan is a fast way to lose the blade and the motor behind it.
It is the OEM part and fits the original mounting points on the UltraTemp cabinet.
