The Waterway 550-1030 is the replacement basket assembly for the Flo-Pro II skimmer. It is the genuine Waterway part.

Making sure it fits

Baskets look alike and the wrong one either drops through or refuses to seat. This basket measures 6-3/8 inches across the top, 5-3/8 inches across the bottom, and stands 3-1/4 inches tall. There is a second check as well: pull the old basket and read the lip. This one carries "519-3000 POOL" and "519-2900 SPA" molded into it. Those are Waterway mold markings rather than the order number, which is 550-1030.

Why it is worth replacing promptly

The skimmer basket does the coarse work, catching leaves, twigs, bugs and grit before the water travels any further. When it cracks or the lip breaks, that debris passes straight through to the pump strainer, and anything the strainer misses reaches the impeller. A new basket is a few minutes and a few dollars against a clogged or damaged pump.
