Product details
The CMP 52000-200-103 is the Econ cell housing for the PowerClean salt system, supplied without unions. It is the body the salt cell sits in, plumbed into the return line after the filter.
Without unions
This is the version that ships as the housing alone. If your existing unions are sound, that keeps the cost down and the swap simple. If they are not, order unions at the same time so the job is not held up halfway through.
When to replace the housing
Housings get replaced when they crack, weep at a wall, or when the sealing faces are chewed up enough that a fresh o-ring no longer holds pressure. None of those are worth patching around on a line that runs under pump pressure all season.
What is not included
The salt cell itself is a separate item. This listing covers the housing that the cell installs into.
