The Hayward SP1084DGR is an Auto-Skim automatic pool skimmer with a square cover and 2 in. FIP connections, finished in dark gray.

What the skimmer does

Everything that lands on the water starts at the surface. The skimmer pulls that top layer in, catches leaves and debris in the basket, and keeps oils and pollen from settling into the pool. A cracked or failing skimmer sends that work to the main drain and the filter instead.
