Product details

Waterway 672-0400 is a four port manifold with a 1 inch slip socket at one end, a 1 inch spigot at the other and four 3/8 inch ribbed barb ports along its body.

What a manifold is for

Running a separate line back to the equipment pad for every jet or air outlet would be impractical. A manifold takes one supply and splits it into several smaller feeds, so a single 1 inch run can serve four 3/8 inch lines. The slip and spigot ends mean manifolds can be joined end to end when a run needs more ports than one piece provides.

Reading the connections

S is a slip socket, the female end a pipe is glued into. Spg is a spigot, the male end that glues into a socket. RB is a ribbed barb, the port that flexible tubing pushes over and is then clamped. The 1 inch ends are solvent weld PVC joints, so this becomes a permanent part of the pipe run once it is glued.
