Product details
This is the Pentair 275333 valve body o-ring, 6-1/2" on the inside diameter and 3/16" thick. It seals the multiport valve body on 2" top mount and side mount valves, and it is one of the few parts in a filter valve that is guaranteed to need attention eventually.
Why it matters
A multiport valve holds pressure on the filter side of the system. The body o-ring is what keeps that pressure inside. When the ring hardens, flattens or takes a permanent set from years of compression, water finds the seam and the valve starts to seep, usually right after someone has opened it for the first time in a decade.
