Product details

The Pentair 271106, also carried as G-160, is the sight glass gasket for a multiport valve. It is the seal that sits behind the clear sight glass in the valve body.

What it fixes

The sight glass is the window that lets you watch the water clear during a backwash. It seals against the valve body with a gasket, and that gasket flattens and hardens over years of pressure cycles. Once it does, the valve weeps at the glass every time the pump runs, which people often mistake for a cracked body.
