What it does
This is the hose connection between the pump and the filter on a Sand Dollar system. It carries the full flow the pump delivers and it is threaded, so it takes the load every time someone tightens a union or wrestles a hose back on. That is why it is one of the first things on an aboveground system to weep or strip.
