Product details

The Pentair 155711 is the pump connection assembly for the Sand Dollar filter model SD60. It is a new OEM part, the same assembly Pentair fits at the factory, and Pentair notes it may also suit other Pentair model filters.

What it does

This is the hose connection between the pump and the filter on a Sand Dollar system. It carries the full flow the pump delivers and it is threaded, so it takes the load every time someone tightens a union or wrestles a hose back on. That is why it is one of the first things on an aboveground system to weep or strip.

Before you order

Check the model on your filter. Pentair lists this assembly for the SD60, and the smaller Sand Dollar filters use their own parts. Matching the model number is the difference between a five minute swap and a return.

Will it fit an SD40 or SD35?
Those filters use their own connection parts. If you have an SD40 or SD35, order the assembly listed for that model rather than this one.
When should I replace it?
When the connection weeps at the pump, will not seal after a new gasket, or the threads have been stripped or cross threaded. At that point the assembly is what needs to go, not another O-ring.
